Site search: Use this option to explore our site's archives, more than 1,400 pages linking to over 80,000 reports, articles and documents, now indexed daily by FreeFind for faster, more fruitful searches.

Search Tips: The search engine tries to locate pages which have exact matches for all of the words entered in your search query. If that fails, it then tries to locate pages that contain any words in your search query. If that happens a short message is displayed at the top of the search results indicating this has been done.

You can customize the search behavior to improve the accuracy of your searches:

1. Phrase search
   
   • To match an exact phrase, use quotes "around the phrase"
     Example: "free search engine"
     
   • To match a near (within a couple of words) phrase, use square brackets [around the words]
     Example: [free search engine]
     
   • To match a far (within several words) phrase, use braces {around the words}
     Example: {free search engine}
     

2. + and - qualifiers
   Put + immediately before a word to require that it be on the found page.
   Put - immediately before a word to require that it NOT be on the found page.
   Example: +always -never
   

3. * wildcard
   If a query word ends with an asterisk (*), the search will find all words that begin with the query word.
   Example: gift* finds gifts, gifting, gifted, etc.
   

4. ? wildcard
   A question mark ? in a query word will match any letter.
   Example: b?g finds big, bog, bug, etc.
   

5. Boolean search
   You can use the following boolean operators in your search: AND, OR, NOT. These operators MUST be in capital letters. Place parentheses around the word groups to define them as separate searches.
   Example: (contact AND us) OR (about AND us)

All of these techniques can be combined: +alway* -ne??r*
