The Israeli army continues to impose a tight military siege on all Palestinian cities, villages and refugee camps, isolating them completely from the outside world. The West Bank is divided into 8 cantons and the Gaza Strip into 4.

The Israeli army meantime carries out attacks in residential areas using missiles and heavy machine gun fire. A number of people were killed over the weekend as a result and others wounded.

A curfew is imposed on all residents in occupied West Bank cities and towns and Israeli soldiers continue to raid homes and arrest people collectively. All aspects of life are completely frozen and the lives of hundreds of thousands of people have become an unbearable suffering.

The supreme committee for elections was unable to meet over the weekend due to lack of freedom of movement. The Tawjihi (official secondary school examinations) students continue to suffer from the curfew as they are not able to reach their examination centers and risk being shot at even during the lifting of the curfew as had happened several times.

*Israeli Soldiers Kill 3 Civilians, Including Mother and Child, in Gaza Strip Saturday*

Israeli occupation soldiers killed 3 Palestinian civilians, including a mother and her 2-year old child on Saturday in the Gaza Strip.

Randa al-Hindi, 44 years old, and her daughter Nour al-Hindi, 2 years old were killed in a random shooting by Israeli soldiers based in `Netsarim' settlement observation towers. Israeli soldiers towards targeted a civilian car heading south for no apparent reason. The mother and her child were returning from a wedding in Khan Younis.

Several others were wounded in the attack.

Khamis Sharab, 48 years old, was killed earlier in the morning during an Israeli military invasion and attack south of Khan Younis. Israeli soldiers invading Qeizan Abu Roushan area waged an attack on residential buildings and imposed a curfew on the residents.

*6-Year Old Boy Killed in Qalqilya Sunday*

Shukri Abdel Haj, 6 years old, died Sunday afternoon affected by wounds subjected one week ago. Haj was critically wounded in the head during an Israeli military invasion of Qalqilya last week. The funeral of Haj is expected to take place as soon as the curfew is lifted.

*Continuous Israeli Attacks on Various Residential Areas in Gaza Strip*

The Israeli army at dawn on Sunday shelled Abraj al-Nada residential area in Beit Hanoun with missiles and attacked it with heavy machine gun fire. Witnesses reported that Israeli occupation forces based in observation towers facing the industrial area of Beit Hanoun randomly attacked the area. The same area was subjected to a number of Israeli military attacks in recent days.

The Israeli army on Saturday invaded areas in Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip. Residential buildings in the area were subjected to intense military attacks from observation towers in the nearby industrial area.

The Israeli occupation army also attacked homes north of Beit Lahya randomly with heavy machine gun fire on Sunday morning.

Israeli occupation soldiers raided homes northwest Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, on Sunday. Rafah has been subject to continuous Israeli attacks and demolition of agricultural land.

In Khan Younis, around 5000 children called on the international community during a demonstration on Sunday to put an end to Israeli daily crimes against the Palestinian people.

On Saturday evening, the Israeli army demolished a Palestinian security location north of Soufa crossing. An armored bulldozer supported by 3 tanks demolished the location as well as vast areas of agricultural land.

Tight closure measures continue to be imposed on the Gaza Strip.

Israeli soldiers prevent people from crossing through Salah al-Din Road, linking north and south of the Gaza Strip and through Abu Holi military roadblock.

*Ongoing Israeli Military Occupation and Attacks in West Bank Towns and Cities*

Nablus
---------

Israeli helicopters on Sunday afternoon attacked hills surrounding Nablus with heavy machine gun fire randomly. At the same time, Israeli soldiers opened fire in the city randomly and re-imposed a curfew on the residents after having lifted it for a few hours.

On Saturday, the Israeli army after declaring a lifting of the curfew the night before waged an attack on Nablus at 7:00 am Sunday morning with missiles and heavy machine gun fire from helicopters and tanks.

A number of people were wounded as a result and several homes damaged.

Israeli helicopters attacked various residential areas in Nablus randomly on Saturday. The military attacks centered mainly on the city's suburbs and refugee camps, Askar, Balata and Beit al-Maa.

Bethlehem
-------------

The Israeli army raided Bethlehem police station on Saturday night. Israeli soldiers reportedly blew up a cupboard inside the building and confiscated one of its jeeps.

Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli soldiers attacked homes in al-Aqban area, east of Bethlehem, with Molotov bottles on Saturday. One home was set on fire as a result and four children (between the ages of 3 and 11) wounded. The settlers threw three

Molotov bottles at a home of 10 family members only meters away from an Israeli military roadblock set up at the entrance of al-Fardis village. The residents of this area are constantly subjected to attacks by Israeli armed settlers.

Bethlehem and its surroundings continue to be placed under direct Israeli military occupation, while thousands are placed under curfew and prevented from practicing their daily lives and from buying the most basic supplies. Israeli soldiers also continue to raid homes and private institutions and to arrest people randomly.

 

Ramallah
------------

The Israeli army blew up a building in Ramallah on Saturday night - Al-Manama Building, near the police headquarters in al-Tireh. The Israeli army also confiscated an official building in Um al-Sharayit and transferred it into a military base. The building was raided twice in 24 hours and severely vandalized.

The Israeli army continues to impose a tight military siege on Ramallah and on Arafat's compound area, while at the sane time continuing with home and institution raids and the arrest of residents randomly.

A 72-year old man died of suffocation as a result of tear gas bombs fired by Israeli occupation forces at civilians in Ramallah on Saturday. Sam'an al-Dalo was killed during the lifting of the imposed curfew, which was suddenly re-imposed brutally by the occupation army for no apparent reason.

The Israeli army re-imposed the curfew after lifting it for a short period of time, spreading panic on the streets of the city. Israeli soldiers fired sound bombs, metal bullets and live ammunition towards people on the streets of Ramallah during the lifting of the curfew.

Jenin
-------

The Israeli army arrested two youths from Toubas near al-Tamaseeh military roadblock in the Jordan Valley area on Sunday. The car from which they were arrested was attempting to head towards Ramallah. Witnesses reported that several people were held up under the sun for several hours.

The Israeli army on Saturday surrounded Jenin Hospital and prevented anyone from entering or leaving the building as well as continues to impose a curfew on all the residents of the city. Hundreds of people were arrested from Jenin over the weekend.

Israeli soldiers also held over 15 people near the industrial area of Jenin. These were heading to work after a declaration of the lifting of the curfew for a number of hours. Israeli soldiers forced them to sit in the floor under the sun for several hours.

Israeli soldiers also opened fire at and chased cars in the city.

The Israeli army arrested several people during brutal home raids on the same day and caused destruction to the infrastructure in the city.

On Saturday morning, the Israeli army besieged Khalil Sulaimna Hospital and prevented ambulances from moving.

Qalqilya
-----------

The Israeli army carried out more destructive activities in the city on Suday. Electricity and water networks, sidewalks and electricity and telephone poles were destroyed.

The curfew was lifted for a few hours on Sunday enabling the residents to buy basic supplies.

The Israeli army invaded Kufer Qadoum on Sunday using several tanks and armored vehicles and destroyed property.

Tulkarem
-----------

A civilian was wounded and then arrested near Iktaba village. Israeli soldiers opened fire at a civilian car and then arrested the unidentified driver.
