To the many generous people and organizations whose donations and hard work made this exhibit possible, thank you, from all of us at VTJP.

Vermonters for a Just Peace is honored and very pleased to announce the opening of the widely acclaimed Made In Palestine exhibit of contemporary Palestinian art in Montpelier, Vermont, October 18, 2005.

Made in Palestine is the first museum exhibition in the United States devoted exclusively to the contemporary art of Palestine. This stunning and evocative exhibition follows the modern history of the Palestinian people from al Nakba ("The Catastrophe") of 1948 to their ongoing struggle for a national homeland. Quite simply, there is nothing like it. It is a powerful and moving meditation, expressed through a variety of meda, on the experience of dispossession, occupation, historical memory and the struggle for freedom and reconciliation.
