Israel
on the defensive at last
By Charley Reese, Middle East Times, August 9,
2002
It is good to see that the Israelis are finally
on the defensive in their long-running propaganda
war. Fewer and fewer people are buying the absurd
notion that one of the world's great military
powers is 'the victim' of unarmed Palestinians.
Dropping a one-ton bomb on one of the most densely
populated urban areas in the world and then professing
to be surprised that civilians were killed flew
like a lead bird in Europe and the rest of the
world.
Faulty
plans prompt more violence
by Joharah Baker, Palestine Report, August 14,
2002
WHILE THE week has been full of half-baked initiatives
and semi-successful meetings, the violence on
the ground continues unabated. In all, 12 Palestinians
have been killed by Israeli occupation troops
in the last seven days, including a father of
12.
