The Story Of A Palestinian Nightingale
By Samah Jabr, Palestine Chronicle, August 02 2002
If anyone was born to be a nurse, it was Rinad, my pleasant and compassionate head nurse colleague. A midwife, she has worked for the past 10 years in Al-Makassed Hospital’s Obstetrics and Gynecology department, demonstrating daily her remarkable devotion to her humanitarian career and her strong sense of belonging to the community she serves.

There Are Middle Eastern Peace Activists
By Karen Nakamura, Coastal Post Online, July 2002
Intimidation and death threats are on the increase in the United States. Attacks against synagogues and mosques are up significantly. Another step backward
Editorial, Ha'aretz, August 05, 2002

The 'Other' Self-Hating Jew
By Hatim Khatib, Palestine Chronicle, August 5, 2002
In a photo op with Colin Powell in the aftermath of the Jenin massacre, one could easily see how ill at ease he was-nostrils flaring, constantly swaying and rocking-never looking Powell in the eyes; rather, looking askew or down, and palpably eager to leave.

Sharon's war against the Palestinians is NOT premised on a Zionist utopia, fulfilling the Eretz Israeli dream. It is NOT a compassionate dedication to the eternal security of Israel’s (and the world's) Jewry, as is often purported.
