This family
in Tulkarm no longer has access to their 2,000 remaining olive trees (visible
in the background) that lie on the other side of the fence. They once possessed
5,000 trees until the Israeli government destroyed 3,000 to clear land for the
150-foot wide area for the fence, Israeli military roads, trenches, and razor
wire. This family now must buy olive oil while olives rot on their trees. |

destroyed olive groves. |
